Installation with different top layers
The installation of the ground heating system must be customized, taking the top layer into consideration.
Regardless of which top layer is going to be installed, the ground heating system must be under pressure until installation is complete.
Snow melting systems suited for walking surfaces with flagstone or paving stone
The pipes are installed in the layer under the plates/stones. To fix the pipes in place, plastic rails or reinforcement bars with cable ties are used. The layer of sand above the top of the pipe must be at least 20 - 30 mm.
Snow melting systems installed in concrete
This is the same type of system as underfloor heating cast in concrete. The pipes are attached to rails or with ties to the reinforcement.
Snow melting on surfaces with asphalt
The pipes are installed in a layer of sand. The pipes are fixed in place with plastic rails or with ties against the reinforcement bars. The maximum temperature of the asphalt is 120ºС. Cold water (20°С) must circulate in the pipes while the asphalt is laid.
Snow melting for lawns
The pipes are installed in the soil layer. The pipes are fixed in place with plastic rails or with ties against the reinforcement bars. The soil layer above the top of the pipe must be at least 20 - 30 mm.
